Pregnancy in Cushing’s disease after treatment with surgery and cyber-knife radiosurgery

Women affected by Cushing’s disease (CD) are often infertile due to abnormal follicular development or anovulation. In these patients, first line treatment is pituitary surgery, which is effective in more than 83% of cases with microadenomas, but only in about 35% of those with macroadenomas. Clinical experience with acromegalic patients who have macroadenomas and long term follow-up results

The increased morbidity and mortality of acromegaly makes early diagnosis and therapy critical. Long term follow-up and investigating comorbidities of this disease is also important. We present here retrospective results of 70 patients. There were 41 female, 29 male patient included in the study. Follow-up period was longer than 5 years.
